Welcome all of you brand lovers!

I’ll start in French and say:

“Bienvenue, je m’appelle Alexandre et je suis ravi de vous accueillir sur ce blog où nous allons parler de notre relation, passée, présente et future, aux Marques”

which in english is “Welcome, I’m Alexandre and I’m delighted to have you on this blog where we are going to talk about our past, present and futur relationship with Brands”.

So, check out regularly new articles that I’ll post on this blog (right column —>yes, over there!)

I’ll start with an evidence : we all have our favorite brands.

I, for example, like to drink Coke rather than Pepsi. Or like Mozilla rather than Explorer. Or simply like Ferrari, Aston Martin, Armani or Dom Perignon (none of which I unfortunatly possess by the way!).

These last exemples show perfectly well how some brands have managed to sneek into my mind to reach what marketers call “top of mind” brands.

Well, I’ll make it short and simple. I know that I love these Brands, but do these brands know that I love them? I don’t think so.

To them, I’m a male, married, 2 kids, CSP+, aged 35 to 45, based in Paris, France, … and all kind of other specific data that are supposed to describe my “consumption” habits and make a “profile” perfect to “target”. Sure feels like a hunting game, doesn’t it?

Well, I’m much more than that! But mostly I beleive that what is happening with social networks on internet is the starting point of a new, more personalized relation with these brands that I love. A time where, we the “end users”, have the habilities to make enough noise (should I say buzz) to finally be heard from our brands.

And why would I want to be heard ? Simply because I have a lot to tell them on their products, design, … simply because I think I can help them to better satisfy my needs … simply because I want them to know me better than as customer N°95753567895890 …and finally because I know that deep, deep inside, brands love us too and want to give us more.

That brings me to Brandinity and another simple question : where can I share, talk and meet people sharing my brand taste? Where can I get the most out of my loved brands? Is there one place where a brand can have a direct, one to one, and totally free dialogue with me? Is there one place where my brands can give me back the love that I have for them?

Well one thing is sure … if I can’t find such a place, I’m going to build one … Brandinity was born.

So I started now a few month ago and before I hand this to you, I’d like your help and advise to make sure that it’s what you’ll really want. I’m actually starting to sound like a brand! Which is probably the case since I think that everyone of us is a brand … but that’s another topic which we’ll talk about in a few days.

If you’re a brand lover like me, please feel free to tell me what brands you like (or worship), what you want to know about them, and mostly what you would like them to know.

If you’re a brand (or representing a brand), please tell me that you’d like to get closer to your “customers”, us, and that you wish to test the Brandinity alpha version.

I promise that in a few weeks, both, you brand lovers and you brands, will finally have a place on internet to exchange and consolidate a new relationship. Brandinity is made for you.

I’ll talk to all of you soon to give some insights on certain functionalities and advantages of Brandinity.

Please, feel free to give suggestion because we still have enough time (or almost …) to add them (Brandinity developpers will surelly kill me if they read this).

Cheers.
